St. Thomas of Canterbury Cursillo Group
What is Cursillo? Cursillo begins with a short course in Christianity; a 3-day weekend retreat of learning, sharing, and experiencing living in a Christian Community. After experiencing the retreat, participants are invited to expand their spiritual journey thru many different venues at St. Thomas of Canterbury Parish and surrounding community. Other activities include: reunions, educational courses, retreats, community service, etc.
Our mission is to become more active Disciples of Christ in the parish and surrounding community.
Purpose: Cursillo is a lay movement in the Catholic Church with the purpose of reminding us what it means to be part of a Christian Community. Participants experience the joy of being part of a Christian community in our parish and encourage growth. “Make a friend, be a friend, and bring a friend to Christ” is the motto.
